BUSECO successfully holds District Assembly in Sumilao

 

The Bukidnon Second Electric Cooperative, Inc. (BUSECO) existed because of and for the people. Hence, the cooperative believes that participation from its Member Consumer Owners (MCOs) is of huge importance. Moreover, one of BUSECO flagship programs is Member Consumer Empowerment Program (MCEP) of which aims to involve MCOs from the grass roots level to the operation of the cooperative for them to be empowered and appreciate the cause of the cooperative which is very vital in realizing BUSECO’s dream of becoming a World Class Organization.

 

On May 10, 2014, BUSECO conducted 7th Annual District Assembly in the District of Sumilao. The program was formally opened by Mr. Federico Jun Okit, BMCEC Chairman of Kisolon, Sumilao followed by the Welcome Address of Mr. Sunny Manga, MSEAC Member and Acknowledgement of Delegates by Ms. Shirley Crystal, MSEAC Chairman in Sumilao. Mr. Juancho T. Chiong, Branch Manager then gave the Overview and Background of the District Assembly. Messages were then delivered by Hon. Rey Baula, the municipal mayor of Sumilao and Fr. Danilo Paciente, Board of Director in the district of Sumilao.

 

To apprise the MCOs of the status of the cooperative, no less than General Manager Deiter Hoff P. Arellano, CPA, MBA presented the BUSECO 2013 Accomplishments and Plans for 2014. Moreover, Engineering and Technical Services Department Manager Engr. Roseller Salise, REE updated the attendees on the development of Interim Mindanao Electricity Market (IMEM) as well as the Mindanao Power Crisis which greatly affected BUSECO.

 

An open forum was then conducted to ensure that all concerns of the MCOs represented by Multi Sectoral Electrification Advisory Council (MSEAC) and Barangay Member Consumer Electrification Council (BMCEC) were properly addressed. The program was then formally closed by Ms. Thelma Opecio, BMCEC Secretary of Vista Villa, Sumilao. The assembly was attended by 211 MCOs.

 

This simply manifests the sincere intention of the cooperative to be transparent to its MCOs which is very vital with the cooperative’s dream of becoming a World Class Organization.
