BUSECO gives Love through a Blood-letting Activity

The BUKIDNON SECOND ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE, INC. in cooperation with the Philippine Red Cross- conducted a blood-letting activity on February 22, 2018 at the Fr. Silva and Partners and Associates RQIM Hall, BUSECO Main Office, Tankulan, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. The blood-letting activity is one of the trail activities initiated in celebration of the Valentine’s Day. BUSECO believes that the month of February is not just a simple heart’s month, therefore it is not only love that is reveled but more importantly the gift of life in every heartbeat. Thus, with the activity BUSECO Partners and Associates show love in a rare yet serviceable way by saving lives with an adjacent benefit of blood replenishment which is known be to be a healthy practice. Launched several years ago, the yearly blood-letting program of the cooperative with the Philippine National Red Cross aims to contribute to blood-banking efforts and to promote healthy lifestyle among employee donors. Further, said activity represents the cooperative’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and also awareness of the importance of blood donation and the value of helping and being of service to others- akin to the practices and services of a utility like BUSECO. The success of the activity is attributable to the full cooperation of the BUSECO Management, P&As and Board of Directors. To note six (6) interested donors including two of the BUSECO BODs were denied due to low hemoglobin, high blood pressure and other related wherefores, yet their full support to the activity were felt with their presence and genuine intent to donate.
