BUSECO successfully conducts its MCO Forum

The Bukidnon Second Electric Cooperative, Inc. (BUSECO) remains firm on its endeavor to protect, promote and uphold the best interest of its valued Member-Consumer-Owners while it strives to enliven its vision as a reliable, viable and efficient electric distribution utility, operated and managed by competent, honest and responsive human resources towards satisfied consumers. BUSECO takes pride with its recent accomplishments whilst the interminable challenges the cooperative has encountered for the past years and even so in the recent months.
Further, BUSECO continually and genuinely endeavors to improve its services and delight its valued Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs) and stakeholders directed by its core organizational values of transparency; trust; accountability; fairness and equality; integrity and for this year 2018, the BUSECO management introduces the core value of resiliency. With resiliency, the cooperative shall be able to bounce back and brave any form of challenges stronger and wiser ultimately for the best interest of its Member-Consumer-Owners.
BUSECO embarks to update all concerns of the cooperative’s status as well as the recent development embroiled on its operations. BUSECO believes that with proper information dissemination, its’ impressive stance in the power industry and all its undertakings shall be brought to light, thus all stakeholders will understand and be rationalized with the cause of the cooperative as a movement and such would be a great help for BUSECO in achieving its dream of becoming a World Class Organization.

Thus, on February 24, 2018 BUSECO held its Member-Consumer-Owners (MCO) Forum at the BUSECO RQIM Hall, Main Office, Tankulan, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. The total registered attendance was 476 which was composed of the BUSECO Board of Directors, Member- Consumer-Owners (MCOs) led by the Barangay Captains, Members of the MSEACs and BMCECs from the ten (10) Districts within the BUSECO coverage area, Mayor and Vice Mayors, and some BUSECO Partners and Associates.
The MCO Forum was hosted through a voice-over by the Master of Ceremony Mr. Roy A. Moises and Lady Dean Jane Kristy G. Pelae. The program started with the with canned BUSECO Prayer and followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and Bukidnon Provincial Anthem. A welcome address was then given by Atty. Richard Lusica, representative of Mayor Clive D. Quiño, followed by an Opening Remarks by the President of the BUSECO Board of Directors and Director for the District of Sumilao, Rev. Fr. Danilo T. Paciente and followed by Recognition of Delegates by the Secretary of the BUSECO Board of Directors and Director for the District of Impasug-ong, Dir. Gloria D. Ranile. Talents in singing and dancing of BUSECO Partners and Associates were then showcased in a very cheerful and entertaining intermission number. The delegates to the MCO forum were then rationalized by the intent and purpose of the activity with a statement from the Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Chairperson, Ms. Theresa M. Justaga.
The MCO Forum highlighted the following:

1. BUSECO performance over the year 2017 in accordance to the National Electrification Administration (NEA) Key Performance Standards (KPS) and Presentation of the Enhanced EC Overall Performance Assessment Criteria per NEA Memorandum No. 2018-005. These are presented by the Branch Operations Management Services Department Manager for Branch Malaybalay, Mr. Cristopher A. Dulfo, CPA, MBM;

2. An overview of NCECCO or the National Center of Electric Cooperative Consumers, Inc. as discussed by the Branch Operations Management Services Department Manager for BranchManolo Fortich, Mr. Juanchio T. Chiong; and

3. Updates on the NEA- BUSECO Seven Point Agreement as reported by no less than the BUSECO OIC-General Manager Melchie R. Nacalaban, Llb. Delegations to the MCO forum were then given the chance to raise their questions and the BUSECO management and BOD gladly responded to the concerns raised.

The conduct of MCO Forum is another effective innovation of the cooperative that encourages and promotes MCOs active participation and transparent cooperative information with a Satisfaction Rate of 86.14%, an indication that the MCOs appreciates the activity. With the overwhelming response of invited guests of which majority are leaders from Barangay to Municipal and City levels which will be the envoys of BUSECO, transparency of the cooperative will be brought up to the grassroots level. Also, these discussions shall be presented more in detail before the barangay and district venues through the upcoming conduct of Barangay and District assemblies which are expected to commence after the MCO Forum. BUSECO is very proud to announce that its MCOs are well informed and empowered. BUSECO believes that this is vital to gain strong support and trust from its stakeholders whilst the unending challenges that BUSECO has encountered for the past years and even so in the recent months and especially now as BUSECO aspires to soon be recognized as a World Class Organization.
