Bukidnon II Electric Cooperative, Inc. (BUSECO) once again demonstrated its commitment to safety and preparedness as personnel actively participated in the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill for the 2nd Quarter of 2026.

The activity began with an Earthquake Preparedness Seminar held at the Board of Directors Conference Room, BUSECO Office, Casisang, Malaybalay City. The seminar provided employees with vital knowledge on earthquake hazards, the importance of readiness, and the role of each individual in ensuring workplace safety.

Following the orientation, employees engaged in the earthquake drill proper, which simulated real‑time emergency scenarios. The drill emphasized proper evacuation procedures, safe exit strategies, and immediate response protocols to minimize risks during seismic events.

The initiative was led by the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), whose expertise guided participants through the correct drill procedures and reinforced the importance of coordinated emergency response. Their presence underscored the collaborative effort between local government units and cooperatives in strengthening disaster resilience.

For BUSECO, participation in this nationwide drill is more than compliance, it is a reflection of the cooperative’s steadfast commitment to safety, preparedness, and community resilience. By equipping its workforce with the right knowledge and skills, BUSECO ensures that employees are not only capable of protecting themselves but are also ready to safeguard the communities they serve.

This proactive engagement highlights BUSECO’s role as a responsible cooperative that values the well‑being of its people and member‑consumer‑owners. It affirms that disaster preparedness is integral to reliable service delivery and to the cooperative’s mission of powering lives with integrity and care.

Together, through preparedness and unity, BUSECO and its partners continue to build a safer, stronger, and more resilient Bukidnon.
