MAY 2026

Throughout the months of April and May 2026, BUSECO proudly held a series of Ceremonial Energization events under the 2025 Sitio Electrification Program. These gatherings were not only technical milestones but also heartfelt celebrations of progress, unity, and hope. Each switch‑on symbolized the transformation of sitios long waiting for electricity, bringing light into homes, safety into communities, and opportunities for families to thrive. Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude with joy, sharing how electricity now allows children to study at night, households to enjoy modern conveniences, and communities to feel more secure and connected.

The presence of the Board of Directors in each district added a strong sense of representation and solidarity. Their attendance underscored the cooperative spirit that defines BUSECO. President Erlinda B. Basera, Director for Malaybalay, graced almost every energization event, bringing warmth and a celebratory atmosphere to the occasions. Only once did she miss a ceremony, but her consistent presence in other dates inspired confidence and unity among Member‑Consumer‑Owners. In several energizations, General Manager Cristopher A. Dulfo himself was present, personally affirming BUSECO’s dedication to service and community empowerment.

The success of the Sitio Electrification Program is a shared achievement made possible through the collaboration of BUSECO, the National Electrification Administration (NEA), and the Local Government Units (LGUs). BUSECO carried out the implementation with resilience and efficiency, NEA provided funding and guidance and LGUs supported the groundwork and ensured community readiness. Together, these institutions brought electricity to sitios once isolated by darkness, proving that partnership is key to inclusive progress.

The 2025 SEP milestones reflect the scale of this achievement. With a total project cost of ₱59,145,736.57, the program energized 1,126 households and installed 651 poles across challenging terrain and remote locations. The vastness of the work, traversing rugged landscapes and overcoming logistical hurdles, demonstrates BUSECO’s determination to reach every household, no matter how far or difficult the journey.

The Sitio Electrification Program is more than infrastructure; it is a promise fulfilled. It is the glow of a child’s lamp while studying, the hum of appliances easing household chores, and the warmth of families gathering under electric light. As BUSECO, NEA, and LGUs continue to work hand‑in‑hand, we reaffirm our mission: to power lives, drive progress, and illuminate the future. With every pole erected and every household connected, we move closer to a brighter Bukidnon where no community is left behind.

Padayon, BUSECO.

Padayon, mga MCOs.

Together, we light the way forward.
