On March 12, 2026, BUSECO Partners and Associates actively participated in the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill, standing alongside government agencies, schools, and communities across the country in a unified effort to strengthen disaster preparedness. This nationwide activity serves as a vital reminder that readiness is not just a responsibility, it is protection.
The drill emphasized the importance of practicing the correct steps during an earthquake: Duck, Cover, and Hold. These simple yet life-saving actions can make a critical difference in ensuring safety during seismic events. By rehearsing them regularly, individuals and organizations alike build confidence and resilience, fostering a culture of preparedness that extends beyond the workplace into homes and communities.
This initiative was carried out in compliance with Memorandum No. 11, Series of 2026, issued by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), with strong support from the National Electrification Administration (NEA). Through this collaboration, the drill reinforces the collective commitment to safeguard every Filipino against calamities, highlighting the role of electric cooperatives like BUSECO in promoting safety and awareness.
